You can help end the death penalty in Alameda County.
Here's how:
- Pass a Resolution calling for an end to death sentencing and investment in public safety. Download a sample resolution and instructions for how to pass. Some groups that have passed a resolution are:

- Black Caucus of Community College Students

- Kehilla Community Synagogue
- Pax Christi, St. Joseph - Fremont
- St. Edward Roman Catholic Church
- Tri-Valley Cultural Jews
- Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club
- Governing Board of the Peralta Community College District
- Organizations, congregations, and local businesses who support ending the death penalty in Alameda County.
- Elected officials, community leaders, and religious leaders who support ending the death penalty in Alameda County.
- Sign the Online Petition and gather more signatures. Sign the online petition, or download a copy of the petition.
- Add Your Name to our Sign on Letter. Faith leaders, elected
officials and other community leaders are encouraged to join prominent Alameda
County residents in personally calling on the District Attorney to stop seeking
death sentences. Download the

- Bring a Speaker to your community, classroom or congregation. We can provide a wide range of speakers who can address the flaws with the death penalty including: wrongfully convicted people, survivors of murder victims, former prosecutors or law enforcement, clergy, and experts. Email us to request a speaker.
- Attend our Meetings, held the first Thursday of each month, 5:30 - 7:00 pm at 1000 Broadway, 5th Floor in Downtown Oakland. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
